This is a doha (couplet) by Raheemdas

Raheeman dhaga prem ka

Mat to do chhitkay toote se fir naa jurre

Jurre gaaht padi jaaye.

रहिमन धागा प्रेम का मत तोड़ो चिटकाय।

टूटे से फिर ना जुड़े जूड़े गॉठ पड़ी जाय।।

Raheem says that the bond of love is fragile, 

Don't break it in a haste. 

It has to be taken care of

Because once it is broken 

It can't be brought back together. 

If it does, the knot will remain.

Same smoothness will not be there.

रहीम कहते हैं कि प्यार का बंधन नाजुक होता है, 

जल्दबाजी में इसे तोड़ना नहीं चाहिए। 

एक बार टूट गया फिर जुड़ नहीं सकता 

और अगर जुड़ गया तो उसमें गॉठ पड़ जायेगी।

सहजता प्रतीत नहीं होगी।

जैसे दूध फट जाता है 

पनीर बन जायेगा दूध नहीं रहेगा।
